Your Journey

WHAT TO EXPET: YOUR TRAINING EXPERIENCE AT MAKING STRYDZ

Whether you're rebuilding after a major life event or simply ready to feel stronger, more confident, and pain-free—your journey at Making Strydz starts with trust, clarity, and expert support. Here’s how we work together to make lasting change.

Step 1: Free Consultation (45–60 Minutes via Zoom)
We begin with a complimentary, no-pressure consultation conducted over Zoom. I’ll take the time to understand your medical history, daily routine, fitness goals, and challenges. You'll walk away with a clear path forward and a chance to experience what personalized coaching really looks like.

Step 2: Full-Body Fitness Assessment
Before we start training, I conduct a 60-minute assessment to evaluate posture, mobility, strength, flexibility, and core function. This baseline helps us measure progress and ensures your program is safe and effective from day one. For pre/postnatal and cancer recovery clients, assessments are modified to meet your needs.

Step 3: Personalized 60-Minute Training Sessions
All of my sessions are a full hour—because quality takes time. You’ll get focused 1-on-1 coaching designed around your body, your goals, and your lifestyle. I provide expert form corrections, real-time adaptations, and clear explanations so you understand the “why” behind your workouts.

Step 4: Lifestyle Integration and Ongoing Support
Fitness doesn’t end when the session does. I’ll help you integrate simple, sustainable habits that support your health outside the gym—because what you do between workouts matters. Whether you're adjusting to motherhood, aging powerfully, or rebuilding after illness, we create a plan that fits your real life.

Step 5: Progress Check-Ins and Adjustments
Your plan evolves as you do. We track your progress, celebrate wins, and adapt your programming as needed. I’m here to keep you motivated, accountable, and moving forward—even when life gets messy.

Note: This process applies to clients participating in 1:1 personal training (in-person or virtual). If you're interested in my 30-day custom programming plan without live sessions, click here to learn more.

Personal Training FAQs

Absolutely! Personal training is perfect for beginners. You'll receive expert guidance tailored to your fitness level and goals. Whether you’re new to working out or returning after a break, I’ll help you build confidence and a solid foundation with safe, effective workouts.

Getting started is easy! Click the “Schedule” button at the top of the page to book your initial consultation. After selecting a time, you’ll receive a short questionnaire to complete. We’ll then meet to discuss your goals, fitness background, and health history to see if we’re a good fit.

Yes, absolutely! During our consultation, we’ll talk about your short- and long-term fitness goals, assess where you’re starting from, and explore the best plan of action. Your input is key to designing a customized personal training program that works for you.

Please wear comfortable workout clothes and supportive athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel if you'd like one. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude—we’ll take it one step at a time!

No gym membership required! I offer private studio training, and online coaching, so we can train wherever you feel most comfortable. Whether it’s from home or in-person, I’ll bring the support to you.

My personal training programs are designed to support your overall health and performance. Services include:

  • Strength training
  • Cardio conditioning
  • Mobility and flexibility work
  • Functional fitness for everyday life
  • Options for in-person, or virtual workouts

All programs are personalized based on your fitness level and lifestyle.

Yes! I specialize in personal training for adults 30+, including beginners, busy professionals, and individuals navigating midlife changes. Each program is tailored to your goals, abilities, and needs—ensuring a safe, supportive, and effective fitness experience.

Yes—if you’re ready to invest in yourself. Personal training can help you:

  • Learn proper form and reduce injury risk
  • Stay consistent and accountable
  • Break through plateaus or boredom
  • Get back on track after injury or time off
  • Push yourself in ways you might not on your own

It’s more than workouts—it’s personalized coaching and support that evolves with you.

Results will vary depending on your starting point, consistency, and goals. With commitment, you can expect improvements in:

  • Strength and endurance
  • Energy and mood
  • Body composition
  • Confidence and motivation

We’ll set realistic, achievable goals together and track your progress along the way.

Most clients train 2-3 times per week for optimal results. The right frequency depends on your schedule, goals, and budget. I’ll help you design a plan that fits into your lifestyle and keeps you moving forward.

I provide general nutrition guidance to support your fitness goals. As a Certified Nutrition Coach, I can help you build healthy eating habits and strategies, but I do not offer customized meal plans. My focus is helping you fuel your body in a way that’s sustainable and aligned with your goals.

Yes! I offer virtual personal training sessions that are just as personalized and effective as in-person coaching. Whether you're traveling, at home, or just prefer online workouts, I’ll meet you where you are.

Yes. We’ll always review your medical history and current limitations during our consultation. I create programs that prioritize safety and help you rebuild strength, balance, and confidence—whether you're post-rehab or managing a chronic condition.

As a veteran, cancer survivor, and certified personal trainer, I bring real-world resilience, empathy, and experience into every session. I understand life’s curveballs—and I’m here to help you move through them with strength and support. This isn’t just fitness; it’s about making meaningful progress at your pace.

Scheduling FAQs

I completely understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged for the session. Timely communication helps us stay on track with your goals while respecting both our schedules. You can reschedule easily through the link in the calendar invitation or by reaching out directly.

Booking is easy! Just click the “Schedule” button at the top of the page and select ‘Consultation’ to get started. Returning clients can click 'Personal Training - In-Person' or 'Personal Training - Virtual' to book or manage upcoming sessions. If you ever need help, feel free to contact me directly.

Yes! I offer weekday and weekend availability, including early morning and evening sessions to accommodate your busy schedule.

If you're running late, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to accommodate, but sessions will still end at the scheduled time out of respect for other clients. Consistency is key—every minute counts toward your progress!

Payment FAQs

I do not accept insurance directly, but you may be eligible for reimbursement through your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Many clients use these tax-advantaged accounts to save an average of 30% on personal training. I’ve partnered with TrueMed to simplify the process and help you get approved quickly. If you have an HSA/FSA or plan to contribute next year,  click here to check your eligibility and get started.

I accept most major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Payments are processed securely online through my booking platform. If you prefer using your HSA/FSA card, that’s an option too—just let me know.

Yes! I offer session packages and monthly training plans to give you flexibility and savings. Whether you're looking for a short-term boost or long-term coaching, there’s a plan to match your goals and budget. We’ll go over pricing during your consultation so you can choose what works best for you.

Refunds are not offered for unused sessions or packages. However, I do offer the option to pause your contract for up to 30 days with advanced written notice. This allows flexibility if unexpected life events arise, while ensuring your commitment to your goals remains intact. All payments are retained during the contract period.
